World’s Brightest Young Stars set for FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship Bow

The FIVB Age Group World Championships are held every two years, with a total of six age group championships to be held in 2015. 

The FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship is the youngest FIVB age group tournament for females, and was first introduced in 1989.

The 13th edition of the Girls’ U18 World Championship will take place in Lima, Peru from August 7 to 16, with 20 teams set to battle it out for top spot on the podium.

China won their fourth gold medal in Thailand two years ago, with the 2013 edition extended to 20 teams for the first time in the tournament’s history. USA won their first ever medal in the competition as they took home silver and Brazil clinched bronze.
