Serbia

Serbia is one of 20 participating teams in the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship Peru 2015. In the first round, coach Jovo Cakovic's team have been drawn in Pool B with Germany, China, Poland and Thailand. Mr. Cakovic Jovo

Born in Prijepolje, in south-western Serbia, coach Jovo Cakovic was instrumental in taking the Serbia girls’ team to silver at the 2015 Youth Girls’ European Championships in Bulgaria. It was here that the Serbia team came into their own, beating teams like Italy and Russia to get to the top of the podium. His playing career was spent in Austrian and Serbian clubs, and he began coaching soon after he retired from competitive playing. This talented coach has quickly gained the trust of Zoran Terzic to become the assistance coach of Serbia’s senior women's team.
