Stone, James

Since retiring as head women’s volleyball coach at The Ohio State University in 2007, Stone has been busy within the USA Volleyball High Performance pipeline serving as head coach of the Girls’ Youth National team. In 2012 he guided the team to the silver medal at the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship, marking USA Volleyball's first-ever age group World Championship medal in either gender.
Stone has led the team to NORCECA Girls' U18 Continental Championship gold medals in 2008, 2010 and 2012. Team USA finished 12th and ninth at the 2009 and 2011 FIVB Volleyball Girls' Youth World Championships, respectively. He served as the head coach for the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team at the 2010 USA Volleyball High Performance Championships leading the team to a gold medal in the Women’s International Junior Division.
