Argentina defeats Korea in three sets

 

Callao, Peru, August 14, 2015 – Argentina captured a one-sided victory in straight sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-21) over Korea in the round to define positions between 9-16 of the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship at Miguel Grau Coliseum on Friday.

The score was led by Argentina´s Agostina Soria with 17 points. On the Korean side, the captain Ko Minji was the best scorer of her team with only 8 points. Argentina led in attacks (29-26), blocks (14-2) and services (10-5).The winners made 20 unforced errors two less than Korea.

Argentina started the game with an aggressive service and a well-structured block, highlighting Candelaria Herrera, the South Americans closed the first set 25-17.

Despite their outstanding defense, Korea did not have the necessary arguments to define in the net. Argentina dominated throughout the set and closed by 25-15.

Argentina kept the previous plan, with aggressive serves and consistent block and this time were backed up by the aggressive attacks of Maria Corbalan and Agostina Soria, winning the third set by 25-21.
