Callao, Peru, August 7, 2015 – Italy showed their power over Turkey in their first match at the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship.
Selmin Karahan, captain of Turkey: The team could not play as we know. Really it wasn’t our night because nothing happened like we planned in training. Tomorrow we must play with more determination to get a victory.
Piani Vittoria, captain of Italy: I´m very happy to get this win, we played with much selfconfident and we were able to show our style of game. I hope we can show an even better performance in our next game and get another win.
Bedesten Mehmet Nuri, coach of Turkey: Congrats to the Italian team for their high level presentation in this game, we were expecting to show a better performance. We will give it all and hope to improve in the following matches.
MarcoMencarellisaid: I know very well the Turkish team and I‘ m sure that they were not having a good day. On the other hand, today’s match was a reflection of what happens when my team does the things as planned, they become a powerful team.
