Team profile

Germany qualified to the 2015 FIVB U18 World Championships by reahing 6th place at the European Championships this year. Led by captain Pia Leweling they celebrated the best result since 2011.

Coach Jens Tietboehl has a good team that is filled with great talents like outside-spiker Hanna Orthmann, middle blocker Sabrina Krause or setter Pia Kaester, who was named best setter at the Western European Volleyball Zonal Association Tournament in 2015.

The main goal of the team is to achieve a place among the eight best teams at the World Championships in Lima. Previously at U18 World Championships Germany's best placing was 5th in 2011. They failed to qualify in 2013.
