Team profile

Peru go into the World Championship in confident mood after starting life under Walter Lung in a positive manner. They competed at the Gatorade Cup, a warm-up tournament for the World Champs and finished third having competed against Argentina, Baja California and the Dominican Republic. Peru’s age-group teams are relatively new and many of the current U18 squad competed at the U15 South American Championship in 2013, the team’s first competition and won in which they finished third. They followed that up in 2014 where they won another bronze medal at the U16 South American Championship.
