Korean players celebrate the tough victory over Mexico
Lima, Peru, August 7, 2015 – Korea scored a come-from-behind victory over Mexico by keeping the calm at the crucial moments.
Kim Dongyeol, coach of Korea: The team of Mexico surprised us with their height but we were able to get the positive result in our first match.
Ko Minji, captain of Korea: It was our first match and our team was nervous but we managed to keep the concentration in the crucial moments. That was the key for the victory.
Ricardo Naranjo, coach of Mexico: We have been training with this team for five weeks and there is a lot of potential. Even though we have some limitations this is group that can offer surprises.
Karina Flores, captain of Mexico: We are disappointed with the loss but Korea is a good team. We were not able to complete the plays at the key moments.
