Big Polish dominate smaller Peruvians

Poland's size created problems to smaller Peruvians

Lima, Peru, August 13, 2015 – Peru faced a tough challenge against the big blockers and attackers of Poland who took advantage of their size to achieve an important win.

Andrzej Pec, coach of Poland: Today we had a difficult match, especially for playing in front of over 5,000 spectators following every play. The players needed a lot of concentration and got the result. Now we hope to keep moving forward.

Natalia Murek, captain of Poland: It was a good game for us. The Peruvian team is very strong and battled until the last point, especially in the last set, the most important of the match.

Walter Lung, coach of Peru: We anticipated problems because of the structure of the game with Poland with a tough and high blocking and big attackers from the corners. We knew it was going to be very difficult. Now we hope to get a good result in our next outing.

Diana Magallanes, captain of Peru: We had failures with the reception and things got complicated with the high blocking of Poland. Now we have to put this game in the past and recover on time for the match of tomorrow.
