Callao, Peru, August 14, 2015 – Dominican Republic beat Chinese Taipei 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-16) and obtained their second victory in the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship at Miguel Grau Coliseum on Friday.
The top scorer of the match was Dominican Republic´s Massiel Matos with 17 points while Ya Huang had just 7 points as the best scorer of Chinese Taipei.
The Caribbeans were the superior team while dominating in attacks (43-23), blocks (7-1) and in aces 4-3. The winners made 21 errors, 1 more than Chinese Taipei.
Based on the powerful attacks Dominican Republic dominated from start to finish of the game and used a taller block caused many difficulties to the Asian team.
One more time, Dominican Republic attacks were based by the strength of Massiel Matos and Natalia Martinez, in a easily start The Caribbeans closed the first set 25-17 .
The Asian team had a lot of trouble getting past the opposing block and Dominican Republic won the second set and third set by 25-14 and 25-16 respectively.
