‘I hope this triumph was enough to qualify’ – Argentina ´s captain

 

Callao, Peru, August 10, 2015 – Argentina claimed its first triumph of the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship at Miguel Grau Coliseum. With this result Argentina is still alive in the tournament and must wait  tomorrow´s results to qualify for the next round.
Azul Benitez, captain of Argentina: Today we played with all of our heart, we had trained very hard for this moment, for a win in the world championship. Now, we need to wait for tomorrow´s result, I hope this triumph was enough to qualify for the next round.
Yokaty Perez, captain of Domincan Republic: Really we are disappointed, because we trained thinking in a different result. In this tournament we could not show our real performance.
Mauro Silvestre, coach of Argentina: This tournament is a learning experience for my players and will help their development. We had played many games against Dominican Republic and know their potential; today all was complicated but we are happy for get a win.
Alexandre Ceccato, coach of Dominican Republic: In the first set we made a lot of mistakes, and then we played better but was not enough. Tomorrow we have another challenge, and we will play with all of our hearts, it will be complicated but the tournament is not finish yet.
