Callao, Peru, August 10, 2015 – Italy blocks Brazil to achieved their third victory in straight sets in the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship.
Vittoria Piani, captain of Italy: We had made a plan for this game and it worked. In the two first sets we play very well but after that we were a little anxious. We recovered our play to close the game.
Amanda Rodrigues, captain of Brazil: It was difficult match; unfortunately we could not control our reception. However, the tournament has not finished and we will be looking for our goal.
Marco Mecarelli, coach of Italy: We need to keep working because after two good sets, we had some problems to develop our game. With more concentration we will play better.
Luizomar de Moura, coach of Brazil: Italy is always a great team and now they have two extraordinary players, wing spiker Ogonu and setter Orro. Today we couldn’t play a right level; I hope to play against Italy in other opportunity at this tournament.
