Korea assures thirteenth place

 

Callao, Peru, August 14, 2015 –Korea defeated Egypt 3-0 (25-20, 25-18,25-16) and assured the thirteenth place of the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship at Miguel Grau Coliseum on Sunday.

The top scorer in Korea was Seoyeun with 12 points, escorted by her team-mate Minji Koand with 9. On the rivals’ side, Nada Meawad registered 13.

Korea held the advantages in attacks (37-33) and also in aces (11-5). The winners committed 10 unforced errors and Egypt 26.

Egypt committed many unforced errors at the start of game, while with Korea was confident in the service and attack. The Asian team closed the first set 25-20.

In the second set, both teams took turns in controlling the score until the second technical timeout. Despite the efforts of the Egyptian Nada Meawad, Korea closed 25-18.

The third set was much easier for Korea with a great work in attack of Yoo Seoyeun. The Asian team close the third set 25-16 and the game 3-0.
