Callao, Peru, August 9, 2015 – Russia claim their second win in Pool C of the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship at Miguel Grau.
Daria Ryseva, captain of Russia: We made some mistakes and that took us out of the game in some moments, however, I think we did a great match and we managed to control our nerves to get the victory.
Coppin, Charlote, captain of Belgium: We as a team have developed a game strategy that at the end didn’t work out as we thought, that’s the reason why we lost.
Safronova Svetlana, coach of Russia: We think Belgium is a great team, very technical, they complicated us in some parts of the match, but this time we controlled them and took our second victory.
Fien Callens, Belgium Couch said: Russia is a powerfull and a very tall opponent. Our strategy was to have a strong serving to complicate their game, unfortunately that didn’t happen, so we have to look forward and keep working because there are thing that we have to improve.
