Thailand defeated Cuba in a consolation round match on Friday
Lima, Peru, August 14, 2015 - Thailand defeated Cuba 3-1 (25-16, 25-11, 20-25, 25-20) improving to 2-0 in the round-robin for the 17-to-20 Positions at the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U18 World Championship on Friday at Eduardo Dibos Coliseum of Lima. Cuba dropped its win-loss record to 0-2.
Wipawee Srithong and Kannitha Juangjan topped Thailandwith 19 and 16 points, respectively, while Siriyakorn Aupradit chipped in with 11 in the victory
Kitania Media and Liset Herrera each had 12 points for Cuba. Thailand outscored Cuba in attacks 44-37 and aces 13-4.
The winners made 19 errors to 31 by the losers.
